Where you two agree, and where you don’t.
Pick three takes for your profile, then see how someone’s answers sit next to yours. It gives a first message something to say.
- 01
Pick your three
Choose from a list of statements about food, family and culture. They sit in one card on your profile.
- 02
Like a take
When you like someone’s take, you say whether you agree or disagree with it.
- 03
Give a reason if you disagree
Disagreeing needs a reason, a short comment or a voice note. Discover cards can then show a line about where you differ or agree.
Easier to start talking
A take about koshari or Sunday lunch is a better opener than “hey”.
Disagreeing is allowed
You can say you disagree, as long as you say why. That keeps it curious instead of rude.
It never changes who you see
Hot takes are not used for ranking. They show up on cards, but they don’t decide who you’re shown.
Can I write my own takes?+
No. You pick from a list of statements, so everyone is answering the same kind of thing.
What if I disagree with someone’s take?+
You can still like them, but you need a reason: a comment or a voice note.
Does it affect who I’m shown?+
No. Hot takes are never used for ranking.
Where do other people see them?+
In a card on your profile. A Discover card can also show a line about where you two agree or differ.
Almost here.
