The best Arab dating apps in the US and Canada

We make HeyArab, so read this knowing that. We still think you should pick the app that fits you, and the best Arab dating apps are built for pretty different people. Here's who each one is for.

How we picked the best Arab dating apps

We looked at what matters most to Arab singles we talk to. Who is actually on the app. Whether you can say how much faith and family matter to you. How private it is when your community is small. And whether it works where you live.

For every app below we read its own App Store listing in October 2026, so the details come from the apps themselves. Prices and features change, so check the listing before you pay.

No app is best for everyone. Most people end up on two.

HeyArab: for Arabs who want someone who gets the culture

HeyArab is an Arab dating app for singles in the US and Canada. Your profile shows where your family is from and the languages you speak, and religion is there if you want it. A 30 second voice intro lets people hear you, accent and all. Friends and cousins can vouch for you with a few lines you approve.

You also say how involved your family is, from involved early to private until it's serious. And you can block your phone contacts so people you know never see you.

It's newer and smaller than the big apps, and it's only in the US and Canada for now. If you want to start with one community, see Lebanese singles, Egyptian singles, Moroccan singles or Algerian singles.

Baklava: also made for Arabs abroad

Baklava says it helps you "find Arab dates and friends", and it's pitched at Arabs who live between two cultures. Detroit Metro Times reported that the company is based in Detroit and Los Angeles. Its listing talks about matches that turned into marriages, but faith isn't part of the pitch.

It's been around longer than HeyArab and has thousands of ratings on the App Store. Paid extras come with a Baklava Gold subscription. If you want an app made for Arabs and you're not sure which, there's no harm in trying both.

Muzz: for Muslims who want to marry

Muzz is the biggest app for Muslims and calls itself the place "where Muslims marry". Most people on it want marriage, and it has a chaperone option so a family member can follow your chats. If you're a practicing Muslim and want to marry soon, it's a strong pick. We wrote a longer Muzz comparison if you're deciding between the two.

Salams: for Muslims of any sect

Salams calls itself a halal Muslim marriage app, with a separate mode for making friends. Profiles can show your sect, how often you pray, your education and your job, and it says it welcomes Sunni, Shia and converts alike. It checks photos with a selfie and blocks screenshots of chats.

Like Muzz, it puts faith first. If that's what matters most to you, it belongs on your shortlist. If you're Muslim and also care about meeting someone Arab, read how faith filters work on HeyArab.

buzzArab: free messages for Arabs and Muslims

buzzArab is for Arab and Muslim singles, and says its members come from every faith, including Christians, Copts and Druze. Messages and voice calls are free, and staff review profiles and photos before they go live. Women can choose who's allowed to contact them by country, age and language.

The free version shows ads, and you pay to remove them. It has members across the Arab world, Europe and North America, so check how many are near you.

ArabLounge and Ana W Enta: smaller, more Middle East focused

ArabLounge is made by World Singles. It's aimed at singles in the Arab world itself, from Saudi Arabia and Kuwait to Lebanon and Egypt. Its paid plan started at about $30 a month when we checked.

Ana W Enta means "me and you". It calls itself a Middle Eastern dating app and lets you filter by religion and by country of origin. It's still small, with only a handful of App Store ratings so far.

If you live in the US or Canada, see how many people near you are on either one before you pay. For more on this, read our take on finding a Middle Eastern dating app.

Hinge and Bumble: the most people, no Arab focus

Hinge and Bumble have far more users than any Arab app, so you'll see more profiles. Hinge is built around prompts and comments. Bumble is known for letting women make the first move.

Neither asks where your family is from or how involved they are, so you'll do more explaining on the first date. In a city with a small Arab community, you may also scroll a long time before you find someone who shares your background.

Older Arab dating sites

Some Arab dating websites have been around since the early 2000s. They still have members, but most were built for desktop and feel it. If you'd rather use an app on your phone, the options above are a better place to start.

What to check before you pay

  • Look at who's near you first. A big app with nobody in your city won't help, and most let you browse before you pay.
  • Check how profiles get verified. HeyArab, Muzz and Salams use a selfie check. buzzArab reviews profiles by hand.
  • Think about who can see you. Arab communities are small. On HeyArab you can block your phone contacts, and some other apps let you hide your profile.
  • Read what renews. Weekly plans cost a lot more over a year than monthly ones.

Which one should you pick?

If faith and marriage come first, try Muzz or Salams. If culture comes first and you're open on faith, try HeyArab or Baklava. If you want messages that cost nothing, buzzArab is free to chat. If you just want the biggest pool, use Hinge or Bumble alongside one of them.
