It holds while your main photo matches. Switch to one that doesn’t, and the badge comes off until it’s fixed.

You choose whether to verify. Nobody has to.
The badge stays honest
Because it comes off when your photos stop matching, a badge you see is current.
Verified likes only
Once you’re verified, you can turn on “Verified likes only”, so only verified members can like you.
Do I have to verify?+
No. It’s optional.
Can I use a photo of myself instead?+
No. It’s a live check, so it has to be taken in the app at that moment.
What if I change my photos?+
If your main photo no longer matches your selfie, the badge comes off until you fix it.
What happens to my selfies?+
Other selfies are deleted after 90 days.
